The surge test is used to simulate the impact of the burst on the equipment from natural occurring lightning strike or connecting a large capacitive load to the grid; testing occurs on both the power supply and signal terminals.
Testing on Power Supply Terminal:
Includes L-line and N-line, L-line and protective ground, N-line and protective ground.
The first kind is differential mode interference; the second kind is common mode interference.
Testing on Signal Terminal:
If it is a network cable or telephone line, the interference is added to the signal wire.
If it is a shielded wire, the interference is added to the shielding layer.
? Testing Capabilities
This testing system can satisfy requirements for single- or three-phase power supply equipment testing; the maximum test voltage of the power terminal and signal terminal are 7kV.
