On July 29th, 2019, the State Administration for Market Regulation and the Ministry of Emergency Management issued the “Announcement on the Cancellation of Compulsory Certification of Certain Fire Products” (No. 36 of 2019), which provides detailed information on building refractory components, fire hoses, and sprinklers. Compulsory product certification will be cancelled for 13 categories of fire products (including some fire alarm products). For fire protection products which compulsory certification is cancelled, the market supervision department will continue to strengthen the supervision during and after the incident with the fire department, and supervise and manage their production, circulation, and use in accordance with the division of responsibilities in accordance with laws and regulations.

In the period of cancellation of fire product compulsory certification, NG28 Certification establish the building refractory components product voluntary certification service in order to help the majority of building refractory component manufactories to establish their brands, improve their market competitiveness, and assist their products to meet relevant standard. This certification has been approved by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of the P.R.C (CNCA). The certification service is based on the premise of the manufactories being compliance with laws and regulations, honesty and self-discipline, effective and stable production management. The certification mode is determined based on the inherent risk characteristics of the building refractory components product and the common production process used by the manufactories.
